Kivu is an AI-powered productivity platform that helps individuals, families, and teams manage calendars, tasks, meals, and other organizational needs through a unified interface on web and mobile devices.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Kivu. Users under the age of 18 may only use the service with the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Parents or guardians who permit minors to use the service are fully responsible for the minor's use, including all financial charges and legal liability.

Kivu may integrate with or rely on third-party services, including but not limited to email providers, calendar platforms, authentication providers, storage providers, and AI or infrastructure vendors. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policies, not these Terms.
We do not control and are not responsible or liable for the availability, accuracy, security, or performance of any third-party services, or for any acts or omissions of such third parties. We may enable, modify, or disable integrations at any time without notice.
You are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with any third-party terms and for disconnecting any integrations you no longer wish to use.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Price changes will apply to new subscriptions immediately and to existing subscriptions upon renewal. We will provide notice of price changes, but continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Kivu reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time, including:
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes, but we are not obligated to maintain any particular feature or functionality. No refunds will be provided for features that are modified or removed.
Kivu uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide various features, including but not limited to email composition, task suggestions, meal planning, and scheduling recommendations.
No Guarantee of Accuracy: AI-generated content, suggestions, and recommendations may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate content. We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or appropriateness of any AI-generated content.
User Verification Required: You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and validating all AI-generated content before relying on it or sharing it with others. This includes but is not limited to:
No Liability: Kivu shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or consequences resulting from your use of or reliance on AI-generated content, including but not limited to miscommunications, missed appointments, dietary issues, inappropriate content, or any other errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated output.
Content generated by or displayed in Kivu, including AI-generated content, is provided for general informational and organizational purposes only and does not constitute legal, medical, financial, mental health, or any other professional advice.
You should not rely on the service as a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any questions you may have regarding legal, medical, financial, or other specialized matters, and never disregard or delay seeking such advice because of something provided by Kivu.
United States Service: Kivu is operated from and data is stored within the United States. This service is intended for users in the United States and other jurisdictions where such use is lawful.
International Users: If you access Kivu from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws. We make no representation that the service is appropriate or available for use outside the United States.
European Union and GDPR: While we are committed to protecting user privacy and implement security measures that may align with portions of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar data protection laws, we are not currently accepting customers from the European Union or offering GDPR-compliant services. We do not provide data processing agreements (DPAs), data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), or other formal GDPR compliance mechanisms. EU residents should not use this service.
Data Retention and Deletion: We may retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for backup, archival, or audit purposes, or as required by law. We may delete or anonymize data from inactive or closed accounts after a reasonable period. You are responsible for exporting or backing up any information you wish to retain before closing your account or ceasing use of the service.
Not HIPAA Compliant: Kivu is not a HIPAA-compliant service and should not be used to store, transmit, or process protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. While we implement reasonable security measures, we do not provide Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) or make claims that we meet HIPAA's technical safeguards.
The service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Kivu and its licensors. The service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the service at your own risk.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KIVU, NOR ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kivu and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the service.
These Terms and your use of the service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
You agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that any claims will be brought only in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, if able, we will try to provide reasonable notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
